Elena Caruso was born in the idyllic Russian city of Samara to a rocket engineer father and banker mother. Located on the Volga River and home to the Soviet space program, Samara is referred to as "Rocket City" by the Russian population. In Samara, Elena attended a private English language school and completed eight years of violin classes. Later, she studied at the University of Torino, Italy and traveled across Europe. After completing a dual master's degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Samara, Elena re-located to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in the performing arts.

Besides film and television, Elena has appeared in numerous commercials (Pepsi, Target, Svedka Vodka, Sony, Bose, Lexus, BMW, Net 10), infomercials (AB Lounge, Luminess Air, Power Platform),and magazines (Runner's World, Marie Claire, Tune Up Master, In Style, WWD and more).
